Do university presidents in oregon affect education policy

The Oregon Council of Presidents (OCOP) is an advocacy coalition comprised of leaders from Oregon’s eight public universities who are committed to working collaboratively to support our public university students.

Oregon’s public universities share many common interests, perspectives and objectives that can be best addressed when the universities speak with one voice. OCOP strives to be that voice and to serve as a key resource for policymakers on issues affecting higher education. By coordinating initiatives and activities common to the public universities, OCOP fosters connections among the institutions as well as other partners in education, research, economic development and public services.
