Income Tax Division

The Income Tax Division is responsible for the administration of the municipal income taxes for the City of Vandalia, City of Brookville, Butler Township JEDD, and Butler Township JEDZ.

Filing & Payment Options

• Individuals: File individual income tax returns and/or remit payments electronically through the all new Online Filing Tool.
• Businesses: Remit withholding tax payments, file annual withholding reconciliations, or remit corporate income tax payments electronically through the Online Filing Tool.
• General Tax Payments: Credit card, debit card, or e-check accepted by our third-party payment vendor, ACI Payments. Convenience fees apply.
• In-Person: Cash, check, and money order accepted. We also now accept credit card payments in the office!
• Drop off: Depository located just past the utility payment window.

Hotel / Motel Tax

The Tax Division also administers the collection of the Hotel/Motel Tax (or Transient Guest Tax) for the City of Vandalia.

• Brookville: 2%
• Butler Township JEDD: 2%
• Butler Township JEDZ: 1%
